Exterior 2011 SMS 302 Ford Mustang Side SpeedSMS 2011 302 Mustang is the second in a trio of American Supercars SMS, followed by the introduction of SMS 2011 620 Camaro later this year. Initially, two versions will be offered SMS 302, SMS 302 4V with a 5.0L normally aspirated engine, followed by the SMS SC 302, using the patented SMS SuperchargerTM 296.
The 302SC SMS pumped more than 535 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, thanks to the use of patent pending SMS 296 Supercharger system with asymmetric multi-lobe screws, SMS-Six PackTM Intercooler system of patents and pending SMS Duo Path-induction. Transmission options for both are a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed TR3650 manual.
302 Both models come standard SMS with the new single SMS S4 High performance suspension, including front and rear specific S4 Rate Springs, Struts S4 Avant, S4 Rear Shocks, S4 front and rear stabilizer bars, high durometer bushings Pivot SMS and all-new S4 unique suspension Watts link rear.
Instrumentation has a 200 mph gauge cluster and a boost gauge pod with boost and temperature gauges fresh air for SMS 302 SC. Standard features include color-keyed center console, a powerful Shaker 500 stereo with SYNC ® and 276-watt amplifier, SMS aluminum plates door sill and model designated embroidered floor mats to give the inside finish. source
